MUTUTHO withdraws bid for Nakuru GOVERNORSHIP


Wednesday, the 28th of November 2012 - Naivasha MP John Mututho has announced that he will not be contesting the Nakuru Governorship position in the upcoming general elections.

The MP said he would now be turning his attention to retaining his parliamentary seat;

"I have decided to continue with my focus of making laws in Parliament," said Mr Mututho.


The MP said that he wants to continue the
 work he has started in the current parliament;

"I do not want to abandon the work I started of making laws unfinished," he said.


The outspoken MP also spoke enthusiastically about his contribution to the current parliament, singling out the controversial
 ‘Mututho Law’ for special mention.


Mututho, who chairs the Houses’ Committee on Agriculture, has also been outspoken on the need to ban the importation of GMO maize.
