Wednesday November 28, 2012 - The ongoing wrangles between The National Alliance (TNA) and
United Republican Party (URP) over who to control the Nakuru County has forced
Naivasha legislator John Mututho to bow out of Nakuru governor seat, DAILY POST
has established.
Making the announcement on
Wednesday, the legislator said he will be seeking to defend his parliamentary
seat.
"I have decided to continue with
my focus of making laws in Parliament," Mututho said.
According to a credible source privy
to URP and TNA operations, Mututho was forced to surrender his governorship bid
for Nakuru County, after TNA surrendered to URP in exchange for Kajiado County
which was surrendered to TNA.
TNA will not field any
candindate for governor of Nakuru County and the same applies for URP in Kajiado
County.
