More PHOTOS of the World’s tallest WOMAN

For men who think they can stand up to face any woman, meeting Yao Defen might have them giving this idea a second thought.

Yao Defen was born on July 15th, 1972 in China. She is 7'8" tall and weighs 440 pounds. Her massive size is due to a tumor which was on her pituitary glad but was removed to halt her growing.

Her growth started very early. At six years of age, she was already eating three times the normal amount of food compared to other children in her village. By elven year old, she was already over six feet tall. By fifteen, she was six feet and nine inches in height.

At fifteen, she saw a doctor to see if he could figure out what was causing her abnormal growth. She saw several doctors before they were finally able to diagnose the cause, however, her family was unable to do anything about it because the surgery would cost 4000 yuan ($640 USD), which they did not have.

CONFESSION of a Kenyan Twitter Addict … TRUE STORY

Hello, my name is Leo.

To be honest, when I first joined twitter I hated it. I did not know who to talk to and everyone seemed to be too serious. I was never among the ‘cool’ kids because I had few followers. My lack of self esteem due to a low follower count prompted me to take some action and come up with some ‘Get Re-tweets or die trying’ strategies.

I did it all…. Contributed to some meaningless trending topic, re-tweeted porn on Titty Tuesday, abused people, stole jokes and pretended that I had a problem with my handset so that Safaricom Care would mention me with the infamous ‘Please re-boot your device’ tweet. All these strategies made my follower count rise significantly.

I never seemed to have enough though. Since I was a lonely soul (a life member of Team Forever Alone) I decided to invest the time I would have used looking for a partner to tweet. I had the urge to become relevant on twitter even though deep inside I knew that my real life sucked.

Twitter became my fantasy world. I could become anybody I projected to be. I could complain about my car (which I took on a loan that I am still servicing), twitpic my holiday(which our company paid for), criticise the government(even If I was not a registered voter) and belittle students even if I owned no business of my own.

The approval I got from twitter was an ego boost. Every day, some kiss ass specialist made me feel like I was doing something relevant in the world even if I was just a guy in my boxers who was stealing his neighbor’s wi-fi.

My twitter reputation elevated my status such that newbie girls thought of me as a cool guy. Since I had a large follower count I could easily flirt with them. In reality, they were out of my league but twitter (with the help of photoshop and instagram) made things much easier for me.

If I was feeling lonely and had a serious case of insomnia, I would just log in… Tweet about it and voila, my various crushes would send me some sympathy tweets. I felt like the king(even though I rarely got phone calls and nobody texted me in real life).

The discovery of memes was a life-changing experience for me. I could finally use pictures to deliver funny punch-lines without being actually funny. I developed a meme suited for every ‘dumb’ question from my followers. The fact that they got re-tweeted much gave me a sense of belonging in the world (even though I was still in my boxers stealing wi-fi).

If twitter was to be on my C.V I would describe myself as ‘Avi zooming specialist, Critic of anything done by anyone with a cause, latest series watcher, list reading and writing blogger, grammarnazi, Re-tweet specialist, PhoneOperating System referral, beauty analyst and fantasy sports team manager( KOT can all manage football better than wenger).

As we speak, I am still tweeting and worrying about my rising un-follower count. I am still complaining about the price of concerts I never planned to attend. I am laughing at people who make spelling errors. I am referring to people as ‘OOMF’ because deep inside I am a sissy that’s afraid of confrontation. I am still being less than productive in the work place. I am using my telephone in traffic because I have to report ‘Twitter big stick’.

Leo.

PHOTOS: So you think BOXING is an Interesting Game?

A lot of people enjoy watching the game of boxing. But the same definitely cannot be said of the people who participate in the game. The picture above presents one of the reasons why boxers are very unlikely to enjoy the game like those watching it.

Whether you believe it or not, the two pictures above are those of one and the same person. And he is no other than Haitian-American Andre Berto, former 147-pound welterweight champion. The picture on the left above shows what Berto looked like after taking a merciless 12-round beating at the gloves of fellow American (but of Mexican decent) Robert Guerrero, popularly known as The Ghost, on Saturday night.

Guerrero won on a unanimous decision, and is now 31-1-1 with 18 knockouts. Berto is now 28-2, and gave almost as good as he got, impressive for a guy who fought most of the fight with his right eye swollen shut. “I did tell Andre I was going to beat him down, so I had to be a man of my word,” Guerrero said afterward, and that photo above is evidence of that. “But he did defend himself like a true champ.”

Meanwhile, Berto mcomplained about the officiating: “He was coming in, grabbing and holding me. Every time I tried to get off, the referee kept warning me for shots,” he said, but was gracious in defeat: “At the end of the day, Robert fought a good fight and he got the win.” The judges saw it the same way, unanimously scoring it 116-110 in favor of Guerrero.

Exam success linked in part to GOOD NIGHT SLEEP

Most students are guilty of this practice as it is not uncommon to hear phrases like “I wan go do all night” or “I wan do TDB (Till Day Break)” and so on during examination periods. Ironically, health specialists posit that loss of sleep during these night sessions could be counter-productive.

In a report published in ScienceDaily on November 21, a medical director at Harris Health Sleep Disorders Centre, Houston, Texas, Dr. Philip Alapat,  says any student who does all night reading may be undoing himself.

Instead, he recommends that students should study throughout the semester, set up study sessions in the evening – the optimal time of alertness and concentration – and get at least eight hours of sleep the night before exams.

He adds that memory recall and ability to maintain concentration are better improved when an individual is rested.

“By preparing early and being able to better recall what you have studied, your ability to perform well in exams is increased,” he says.

According to the study, Alapat, who is also an assistant professor at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, and his staff carried out about 1,200 sleep studiesa year to evaluate patients for a variety of sleep disorders, including apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, narcolepsy and chronic fatigue syndrome.

He posits that college-aged students should ideally get eight to nine hours of sleep a night but the truth he says, is that most students generally get much less.

He says, “Any prolonged sleep deprivation will affect your mood, energy level and ability to focus, concentrate and learn – which directly affects your academic performance. Throw in the occasional all-nighter, consumption of caffeinated beverages like coffee, tea or energy drinks, and students are at risk for developing insomnia, as well as increased risks for alcohol abuse and motor vehicle accidents.

“A lot of college students graduate from high school and leave the protective family environment where they have curfews or set bed times. In college, they don’t have these guidelines for sleep and recognise that they can stay up late. This likely contributes to the sleep deprivation seen commonly in college students.”

Among Alapat’s recommendations are: get eight to nine hours of sleep nightly – especially before final exams; try to study during periods of optimal brain function – usually around 6-8 pm; avoid studying in early afternoons, which is usually the time of least alertness  and do not overuse caffeinated drinks – caffeine remains in one’s system for six to eight hours.

He adds that people should recognise that chronic sleep deprivation may contribute to development of long-term diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.
“If suffering from bouts of chronic sleep deprivation or nightly insomnia lasts for more than a few weeks, try consulting a sleep specialist,” he says.

Classic 105’s CIKU MUIRURI, Tony GACHOKA, CHARITY Ngilu and UHURU Kenyatta …… The POWERFUL CONNECTION

Tuesday November 27,2012 - Do you remember a time when Narc Presidential hopeful Charity Ngilu and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Protocol Chief Tony Gachoka were  spotted having sex in a car at Nairobi Club? Well…hope you do.

The DAILY POST will reveal the events that have led to Charity Ngilu, Tony Gachoka and his younger sister Ciku Muiruri –who is a radio presenter at Classic 105; join Uhuru Kenyatta’s bandwagon The National Alliance (TNA).

Gachoka and his clandestine lover (Mrs Ngilu) have been seeing each other since the formation of Narc government in the year 2002. When Ngilu parted ways with Kibaki in 2005, the self claimed political strategist followed Ngilu to Raila’s camp and it was until the formation of coalition government in year 2008 that Ngilu begged the Prime Minister Raila Odinga to appoint Gachoka as his Head of Protocol.

Gachoka was given the job by the PM, and the relationship between him and Ngilu became more pronounced even to the public glare. However, in 2011, Gachoka resigned as the the Prime Minister’s Head of Protocol and this is said to have angered Ngilu who months later expressed her dissatisfaction with PM’s leadership - but that was not the reason.

Ngilu wanted to follow her “boy”   to Uhuru’s new outfit, TNA, so that they can be “near” to each other.

Early this year, Ngilu had been making several contacts with the TNA officials so that she can be where her “boyfriend” is.

But successfully, Ngilu managed to enter into an alliance where her lover is a political spinner.

Due to Gachoka’s powerful contacts in politics, he has been assigned an office in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional affairs without a tag at the door. Mid this year, employees started question his role in the Ministry which he joined immediately Wamalwa was appointed Minister. So that you know that Tony Gachoka oozes more power tha even the Minister, the assistant ministers fear him. He commands employees around the Ministry without even carrying any title.

The relationship between Tony and his sister, Ciku of Classic 105 was thought to be very bad after Tony sold all the inheritance he got from his  father and left the family under God’s mercies but that is not the case. Tony seems to be making amends and has turned that conmanship corner. Gachoka introduced his younger sister Ciku Muiruri to Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ciku Muiruri, who is famously known for her busted show in Classic 105, was spotted sitting together with Uhuru at the VVIP lounge in Kasarani Indoor Arena during James Ingram’s show in September.

Although Ciku is currently working as a presenter at classic FM, a mole told the DAILY POST that she is also acting as the virtual head of the media teamof Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta. This came after former Capital FM’s radio presenter Eve De’ Souza was rejected for the position in favor of Ciku.

Kiss 100’s CAROLINE MUTOKO - Is she an ODM sympathiser?

Tuesday November 27, 2012 - Last week Kiss 100 morning presenter Caroline Mutoko “allegedly” wrote a satirical master piece to Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto dismissing their presidential bids.

In her letter, Mutoko pin pointed a number of issues that will happen if the two leaders are elected as the fourth President of Kenya.

According to a source who requested anonymity and who works close to the presenter, the ‘article” was written by an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) strategist with a Mutoko byline.

“Mutoko who is a “master of plagiarism” did not even edit one word in the master piece,” the source said.

The presenter has been associating with the Orange Party secretly, but the source revealed that she has been meeting several ODM bigwigs in secret meetings in Nairobi.

Early this year, Mutoko was appointed as chairperson of Kenya Tourist Development Corporation by Tourism Minister Dan Maanzo who is an ODM pointman at the coast region.

However, High Court blocked her appointment due to the corporate board’s appointment‘s technicalities.

RAILA’s ODM is using him to spread hate on UHURU and RUTO

Wednesday November 28,2012 - Self proclaimed Tech blogger Robert Alai is being used by Orange Democratic Movement ODM) as a “merchant of falsehoods” on the mooted alliance between Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and  Eldoret North MP William Ruto, DAILY POST has established.

Through his twitter account, Robert Alai is trying all the way to dismiss the inevitable alliance of Uhuru and Ruto.

Alai is even using social media platform to preach hatred against the two leaders, which is against the fundamental rules of journalism.

In one of his tweet on Wednesday afternoon, Robert Alai tweeted a message which does not meet the ethics of professional journalism and which can be termed as hate speech by Kibunjia led commission.

Uhuru will give Ruto UKIMWI in his affair where he is not sticking to one partner.”

One of his tweets reads.

Alai is said to be on an ODM payroll to spread fear and antagonize the opponents of the Orange Party. His tirades have always been directed at Uhuru, Ruto, Wamalwa, Shebesh, Ngilu and any other force that comes up against ODM.

STEP DAD handed 25 for killing 2 year old SON in Nakuru

Wednesday, November 28, 2012 - A middle aged man was sentenced to serve 25 years behind bars in Nakuru for murder. He is said to have killed his two year old step son.

The Nakuru court heard that on June 15, 2009 George Otieno was left to take care of the minor while his mother went towork. It was during this time that he is suspected to have hit the young kid with a blunt object.

According to medical reports the two year old died out of a ruptured spleen after he was hit by a blunt object. The boy’s mother confessed that Otieno had been mistreating her son since he was not the biological father of the child.

In his defense Otieno told the court that he had left the child with other children while he went to work and later found him vomiting blood. He rushed him to hospital where he died as the doctors tried to save his life.

Justice Roselyn Wendoh however said that Otieno’s testimony was not reasonable and convincing and since he is the one who was left to take care of the child, he was answerable to the death of the child.

One of the passengers confronted him and the two were involved in a severe exchange of words before Kariuki turned on the passenger punching him on the nose.

Maseno University student MURDERED in cold blood

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 - Emotions ran high in Subukia after the body of a third year student at Maseno University was found a few meters from her house. The woman had several stab wounds on her body and police say that she may have been killed elsewhere and her body dumped near her residence.

Residents at Heshima estate in Subukia had nothing but good things to say about Monica Wairimu, an orphan who leaves behind a three year old daughter. Monica is alleged to have struggled a lot to make ends meet and never rubbed shoulders with anyone in the wrong way.

Her sister told the media that yesterday she received a strange message which was written that her sister was dead. In her thoughts she deduced that maybe Wairimu had fallen ill and although her phone went unanswered she went to her home in the morning.

Neighbors were the first people to find Wairimu’s body and reported to the police who are now investigating the matter; it is still not clear why the assailants killed the orphaned university student.

Her body was taken to Nakuru Municipality Hospital Mortuary.

Man who burnt woman with HOT WATER sentenced in Mombasa

Tuesday, November 27, 2012 - A man from the coastal region yesterday appeared before a court in the area for allegedly burning a neighbor with hot water and beating her. The man pleaded guilty to the assault charges presented to him.

The prosecutor said that on November 22 at Majengo estate in Mombasa Kennedy Kizingo had had an argument with his neighbor Ann Mweni Wambua. After the argument Kizingo who was boiling water to prepare ugali took the water andpoured on her.

He then beat her up as she raised alarm. Neighbors who heard Mweni’s cries managed to rescue her from the hands of Kizingo and rushed her to hospital where she was treated and discharged.

Mweni later recorded a statement with Makupa police station leading to Kizingo’s arrest.

Appearing before the senior resident magistrate Elvis Michieka, Kizingo pleaded guilty to the offense and pleaded with the court to be lenient. He was sentenced to one year in prison or Sh. 30,000 fine.
